You have a document, no printer, and it needs to end up on paper, either in your hands or in someone else’s mailbox. Several services will print and mail it for you, and the prices differ more than you’d expect. We make Inktoss, so read this with that in mind. We’ve tried to be fair, including where other services cost less.

Where Inktoss is not the cheapest: for a 5-page document, Postmarkr is a few cents less. If price is all that matters and plain paper is fine, it’s a good option.
Printing at a store
If you can get to a store, printing there costs less per page:
- FedEx Office: copies start at $0.24 each.
- CVS: $0.29 per black-and-white single-sided page.
You pay for the trip and the wait instead of postage. If the store is on your way, that’s usually the cheapest route.
Where Inktoss fits
Inktoss makes sense when:
- You’d rather do it from your phone. Upload a PDF, photo or document in the app, pick the options and pay. The other mail services above work through a website.
- The paper matters. Inktoss prints on linen, cardstock and photo paper, and laminates. That’s useful for resumes, photos and anything that needs to last.
- You want tracking or need it faster. Every Inktoss shipping option is tracked, including $1.49 Standard. Expedited ($7.99) and Rush ($13.99) are faster, and orders of $25 or more ship free.
- It’s going to someone else. Mail it straight to a relative, a landlord or an office.
Inktoss ships the next business day. Standard shipping ($1.49) typically takes 3–5 business days in the mail.
The short version
- Cheapest for a few plain pages, and you can get to a store: FedEx Office or CVS.
- Cheapest mailed for a multi-page document, plain paper, website is fine: Postmarkr.
