Many tax and government forms still have to be on paper: a mailed IRS form, a DMV application, a benefits renewal. If you don’t own a printer, you need a way to get the form printed, signed and sent.
Your options
Print it somewhere. A library or office supply store can print a PDF for you. Hours and fees vary by location.
Ask the agency for a paper copy. Some will mail one, but it can take a while.
Have it printed and mailed to you. Upload the PDF from your phone and a printed copy arrives at your door, ready to sign.
Doing it with Inktoss
- Download the form from the agency’s website and save it as a PDF on your phone.
- Open Inktoss, upload the PDF and choose your pages.
- Enter your own address. Inktoss mails to the address you enter.
- When it arrives, fill it in and sign it by hand.
- Mail it on yourself, in your own envelope with your own stamp, to the address in the form’s instructions.
Inktoss prints and mails to you; it doesn’t sign for you or send anything to an agency on your behalf.
Cost
Pricing is $0.29 a page, color or black and white, plus $1.49 Standard shipping. A 5-page form is $2.94. Orders ship the next business day, and Standard shipping ($1.49) typically takes 3–5 business days in the mail. Every shipping option includes tracking, and orders of $25 or more ship free.
Tips
- Read the form’s instructions first. Print exactly what they ask for, including any pages that must be included.
- Print the instructions too. They help when you fill in the form away from your phone.
- Order a spare copy. Mistakes happen when filling in forms by hand.
- Mind the deadline. Allow time for printing, mail to you, and mail back. If a deadline is close, a library or store is the safer choice.
- Check requirements. For questions about what a form needs, ask the agency or a qualified professional.
